Good Monday morning dear friends! I hope you had a lovely weekend? Here in Blighty the weather didn’t do quite what was asked of us, descending as it did into blustery storms and heavy rain but still, the weekend is the weekend, rain or shine…
To start off the week, I have some exciting news: My lovely blogging buddy Bev who writes wonderful posts all about her favourite subject (that would be cats, including her darling Sophie) over at Moggiepurrs, very kindly invited me to write a guest post.
Of course I was delighted for any excuse to write about my babies (the furry kind in this case). Thank you so much Bev!
Growing up with Siamese cats and enjoying ‘helping’ my mum and dad with their boarding cattery as a young girl brought with it many adventures, one memory of which I’ve shared in my guest post, For The Love of Siamese Cats.
If you are a cat-lover and you haven’t already done so, I do hope you will pay Bev a visit. She will be delighted to see you! So will Misty and Ming…
Heading over now

We had a wonderful Siamese cat named Calla Lilly. She lived to be 18, and followed Jim all around the house like a puppy. As soon as he sat down–on the sofa, at the kitchen table of computer–she curled up in his life. We could hear her purring in the next room.
On my way over to read your guest post now…

What a delightful name Marylin! So glad you got to have Calla Lilly for such a good, long and happy life, she sounds just adorable. We found that our Siamese made for wonderful companions but of course so do our lovely moggies! Thank you for sharing your lovely Siamese story and for reading over at moggiepurrs 🙂

Read your wonderful guest post on moggiepurrs Sherri. Didn’t know what a boiled egg with soldiers was, so I looked it up. Soft boiled eggs with buttery toast soldiers for dipping sounds yummy… but the big bag of sweets certainly sounds delicious too. I’m so glad that you found the little ginger kitty. Misty and Ming were beautiful!

I’m smiling at your comment Theresa as Bev had to ask me about the soldiers too! I wrote this from my British perspective but as I said to her, I do forget what is American and what is British sometimes!
Yes, you got it about the soldiers, a standard British ‘tea-time’ fare 🙂 Although we tend to have them for breakfast these days 🙂
I was terrible with sweets, still am… 😉 Thanks so much for reading this little story, so glad to have you meet dear Misty and Ming, I remember them so very well… 🙂
