  4. How great to have your beautiful face front and center on my blog, Sherri! Thank you so much for participating in the spotlight series. Although I probably know you the best, I still learned a few new tidbits about you that I didn’t know. I know you’re going to be busy this weekend, so don’t stress about commenting immediately. xoxo

Ahh Jill, you are such a sweetheart 🙂 I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being over at your wonderful blog and truly humbled by all the lovely comments. I really appreciate too you understanding that I wasn’t able to get to all the comments right away until now, having signed off Friday afternoon as is so often the case when away or the boys are home, so not stressing really helped! I’ve loved coming over this morning and catching up with everyone. What a fantastic community you have…but then that’s no surprise because you are fantastic. Have a great week my friend 🙂 xoxo

You are such an open person, who touched me with your childhood and teen aged years’ stories. I am not one who would want to meet Henry the VIII, but liked all your other answers to the questions. I definitely think you look younger and prettier than Diane Sawyers! Smiles, Robin

Ahh…thanks so much Marie! Reading this when having a ‘bad hair day’ is pretty much a daily occurrence for me, I can’t tell you what a lovely compliment this is. You’ve made my Monday morning 🙂

Nice getting to know you on Jill’s blog today, Sherri. I’ve read all the bloggers she’s highlighted, and I’m amazed at how much I have in common with so many of them, including you. I too, was laughed at as a writer as a child, but always wanted to do it. I wrote anyway, but didn’t really take it seriously to get published until I turned 40!. Also, I have a dad who is a good storyteller, but also an alcoholic. Strange how similar lives can be, even across the pond. I enjoyed reading your spotlight today.

Hi Lori! Thanks so much for coming by and leaving your lovely comment here at my summerhouse 🙂 Jill’s Summer Spotlight has been wonderful hasn’t it? Like you, I’ve really enjoyed reading every post. We certainly do share some similarities as you say, even with all the miles between us. How wonderful that you got to pursue your writing dream at long last! I’m so glad you enjoyed my post, you are very kind to take the time to read it. I hope our paths will cross again, no doubt over at Jill’s! Lovely to meet you 🙂 ~ Sherri

Hi Sherri — you’re welcome and it’s good to see you again, too, and see how well your blogging has been going. All is well out here — just been enjoying the end of the summer and on a bit of writing lull. I’ll catch up on blogging again when the snow starts flying and can’t get outside. By the way that’s beginning to shape up, I don’t think that will be very long. Take care, my friend, and we’ll soon be back in touch. Glad to see you’re on a roll and doing great! 🙂

So very kind of you Pat, thank you very much. I went through a struggle recently as you know in my writing and blogging what with one thing after another (including my daughter being quite unwell) but hopefully I can get back up to parr again now. I’m really glad to hear that things are well with you and you are enjoying your lovely fall. We are a long way off from snow, and if winter is anything like last year we won’t have any at all but I’m really hoping we will. We’ve already had one major storm Sunday into Monday but that’s just wind and rain and although cooler at last still very much in the throes of an English autumn. I’m like you, I find it much easier to write when it’s cold and dark outside 😉 You take care too and see you soon my friend 🙂

I can relate, Sherri, with the struggles you went through on your writing and blogging. I think that’s where I’m at — in a bit of a ‘funk’. Don’t know quite what it is – just ‘yuck’ on the inside and feeling my way through it. What seems to help is getting out in the fresh air, getting my hands in the dirt and pulling weeds (can you believe that). Otherwise, life is good and all is well. 🙂
