So then, a reprieve.
A walk in this beautiful country of mine, this land of soft, spring rain and green, patchwork fields. I take a deep breath and I walk on…

And did those feet in ancient time.
Walk upon England’s mountains green:
And was the holy Lamb of God,
On England’s pleasant pastures seen!

When I took my vacation in England, I was in Devon. I saw lots of places that looked like your pictures. I especially remember the green fields and the sheep everywhere! Your post made me feel like I was transported back there!

Oh, those pictures are beautiful, Sherri! I really miss England, last time we took a long walk through the Sussex Downs – there’s nothing quite like it! When I get too “homesick” (wrong term, since England isn’t my home), I always watch a James Herriot DVD, always makes me happy. Thanks for this little walk down Nostalgia Lane!

Thanks Kristin, it certainly is a small world isn’t it! I know what you mean about James Herriot – when I lived in the States (and homesick!) I would watch those DVDs all the time and read and re-read his books. So glad that you enjoyed the photos and your trip down memory lane 🙂
