You Guys are the Best!

My dear friends,

Just quickly touching base to say I have read all your comments and my goodness, I’m thinking what on earth have I done to deserve such wonderful friends?  Must have done something right for once, ha!  🙂

Thank you very much for all your help with the WordPress Ad query – now I understand! – and your thoughts on that ghostly orb too!  Very interesting!

More than anything though, I can’t thank you all enough for your amazing support.  It’s so great to know that you are all ‘there’ (never had my doubts) and now I’m letting you know that I’m still here too 🙂

My main reason for putting up my post yesterday was that I didn’t want you to think I was ignoring you by not commenting on your posts!  I will try to catch up a little today (and replying to your comments individually) but those I don’t get to today I will tomorrow hopefully.

Your concern for me and my family means so much but I don’t want you to worry.  Things are alright and getting sorted out (more on that later).  I haven’t been able to get to my laptop that much with so much else going on but within the next few days I should be back to normal, so will dip in and out during this time as much as I can.   Until then, I have only this left to say:

You guys really are the best!!!

Love Sherri x

About Sherri Matthews

Sherri once worked in the medical and legal fields. One day the office closed, she got laid off and she praised the heavens for the chance at last to write her book. Some years later, 'Stranger In A White Dress', a memoir, is ready for submission. Published along the way in magazines, anthologies and on her blog, Sherri writes about her travels, nature and the process of memoir. She also shares snippets of her life as a Brit 'Mom' who raised her children in California, as an advocate and carer for her adult youngest diagnosed at eighteen with Asperger's Syndrome and stories of her dad's lifelong journey from prison to the streets and back again. She is a regular contributor to 'Carrot Ranch', an online literary community. Today, Sherri lives in England with her hubby, Aspie, two black cats and a very grumpy Bunny. Writing stories from the past, making sense of today and giving hope for tomorrow.

Ditto as to what Pat has said. 😀
To be honest, Sherri, when I put up a post I don’t think about who has commented and who has not. I think we all have busy lives with all sorts of stuff going on so if we’re not able to comment for a day or two, it doesn’t matter, not as far as I’m concerned anyway. Blogging should be an enjoyable thing and when we start worrying about ‘keeping up’ with our comments, then it will become a chore. I don’t want this to turn into a sermon – what I really mean is that I understand. 🙂 I hope things are getting sorted.

Thanks Lesley! Don’t worry, no sermon! I really appreciate all you say and yes, I agree, blogging should definitely be enjoyable and not a chore. That’s the thing, I do really enjoy it and love the interraction with everyone and I get so frustrated when I can’t keep up with it simply because I do love it so much! The same with my other writing. Still, it can’t be done sometimes and family always has to come first.
We are getting things sorted slowly thank you and hopefully things will return to normal over the next several days…I will post an update at some point.
Hope things are well with you and have a great weekend 🙂

  5. Our moods change, but it’s nice to have friends remain, Sherri, and you’re obviously surrounded by people who appreciate you and care very much.
I’m so glad things are getting better.

It is lovely to have friends remain Marylin, you are so right. I have certainly had my share of ‘fair weather’ friends as have we all but it is the friends who stick by us no matter what, whether they be ‘old’ friends or ‘new’ friends (such as you!), who mean so much. I am very blessed indeed and very thankful for you all.
Thank you, yes, things are moving forward and hopefully will return to normal (whatever ‘normal’ is!) over the next several days. Will keep you all posted.
Meanwhile, I hope things are well with you and your mom and I wish you a lovely weekend 🙂
