Blogging With A Little Help From Your Friends. A Guest Post By Sherri Matthews @WriterSherri

Today, I’m thrilled and honoured to guest post at Hugh Robert’s wonderful blog, Hugh’s News & Views, on the challenges of balancing blogging, writing a book and the curve balls of life. And the fascinating coincidences bloggers regularly discover through online friendships, though ocean’s apart. Thank you, dear friends! ❤

Just saw you over at Hughs, Sher. I left comment there. ❤ PS your twitter button doesn't function like 90% of the blog I follow 😦 xx

  2. Hi Sherri, thanks so much for being my guest over on my blog this week. I was thrilled you accepted my invitation to write a post. The subjects you chose were perfect.

I saw Debby’s comment about your Twitter button. I had a go, and it worked for me. Maybe it’s since been fixed?

    • Hi Hugh, I’m so glad you enjoyed the post, thank you again so much for inviting me, I’m thrilled for the wonderful opportunity to guest post at your blog! 🙂 As for the Twitter button, I have no idea what the problem might be, although glad it worked for you. I need to take a look and check some things out…as with Deb, thanks for the head’s up! 🙂 xxx

      • You’re welcome, Sherri. It was kind of Debby to mention it to you. Sometimes, buttons don’t work for me, but when I go back the next day, they work. I guess that’s technology for you 😀

        • Thanks, Hugh. Yes, it was very kind of Deb and you too. I would have had no idea otherwise. I just shared this post to my FB author page but took about three times to go through for some reason. Ha, modern technology…great when it works, but when it doesn’t…well, we all know about that! 😀

          • I know a lot of bloggers have had problems publishing their blog posts on Facebook, Sherri. It seems the social media platform doesn’t like it anymore. Some have left, while others are still scratching their heads as to why Facebook would say that the blog post is not within the terms and conditions of use. It all started happening just before the summer. I deleted my Facebook account two years ago, but I know Debby knows more about it.

            • Yes, I saw a lot of my blogging friends left FB or rarely use it now because they could no longer share their posts, but I’ve not had that problem. I never share any WP posts on my personal FB, only on my public FB author page which is set up linked to my blog as a ‘business’ page, so that’s probably why. But who knows? My problems seem to be more to do with strange glitches, such as saying I can only use ‘American English’ as it won’t work with ‘UK English.’ Bizarre!!!!!

This is a lovely post, Sherri. Thank you for so kindly mentioning me. I didn’t realise Debbie was a fellow Australian. I have met her only recently so it was exciting to be mentioned alongside her in your post. I wish you success with your book. I told you we’d still be here waiting for you. And we are! SMAG. ❤
